GRAND re-OPENING

We are moving along steadily to rebuild the Firehouse, thanks in large part to Volunteer Construction Manager Rusty Coulter-Kern, a great deal of volunteer help from high school and college students and faithful community members, and generous financial contributions. So we are taking a leap of faith in saying that we'd like to hold our Firehouse Grand re-Opening prior to the Second Anniversary of the roof cave-in, which means before July 25, 2009.

In order to get this done, we have A LOT of work to do. So...if you are able, please come to the Firehouse to help finish electrical work, hang drywall, paint, set cabinets, and more.

It is likely that most Thursday evenings and some Saturdays will be workdays.

Spring 2008 Hello Friends of the Firehouse! If you've made it here it means you've been caught up in our 7 Days to Save The Firehouse fundraiser. We're contacting as many people as possible who are able to donate even just $10 to the rebuilding of The Firehouse. The North Manchester community is behind us and has provided the money to build a new roof and floor (go to www.youtube.com/SaveTheFirehouse to see some videos of the progress!), but it's going to take more to get the whole Firehouse back. We're at a point where literally every penny you can donate will help us bring back the venue that we all know and love. Please make a donation at the PayPal link or send a check to the address below. Once you've donated, please take a couple minutes to contact 10 more people and let them know why you're donating and why they should too. Your support is greatly appreciated!! 10.13.07 On July 25, 2007, the Firehouse roof collapsed during heavy rains. An ad hoc committee has been investigating the possibilities of renovating the Firehouse so that the concerts our youth have enjoyed for the past six years can continue. Because the roof must be replaced, and the building brought up to code, funds are desperately needed. Trick-or-Treat Fundraiser Manchester High School students: Trick-or-Treat for the Firehouse! Form a group with 4 or 5 of your friends and sing on people's lawns until they give you money for the Firehouse. Talk to Mr. Burnworth or Mrs. Klingler for more information. Under Construction The North Manchester Town Council voted to accept our recommendation to tear down the middle and back sections of the Firehouse so that some new construction can happen in the same location. The plan is to keep the front part, bring it "up to code" so it will be safe, and add to it under a new roof.
